Frequently asked questions
Your journey begins with curiosity. Many guests start with a mix of group yoga and a LifeScribe™ discovery session. LifeScribe helps you identify the right combination of services — such as counseling for emotional balance, massage or acupuncture for stress release, or yoga and meditation for physical and mental grounding.
If you’re unsure where to begin, we’ll walk you through it step by step. Every journey starts by opening the door.
Here is a quick reference guide to assist in the meantime:
If you feel… | Try… | Why it helps |
Stressed, anxious, or mentally overwhelmed | Meditation, Yin Yoga, Slow Flow | Calms the mind, relieves stress, and restores balance. |
Tired or low energy but want to feel refreshed | Slow Flow, Massage, Acupuncture | Gentle movement or healing therapies help restore vitality. |
Restless and needing a strong workout | Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow | Builds stamina, strength, and focus through movement. |
Wanting discipline and structure in your practice | Ashtanga Flow | Follows a set sequence for consistency, strength, and mental focus. |
Stiff, sore, or in need of deep stretching | Yin Yoga, Massage | Releases tension, improves flexibility, and aids recovery. |
Wanting to sweat, detox, and push your limits | Hot Yoga | Heat supports flexibility, cleansing, and endurance. |
Experiencing chronic pain, sleep issues, or energy imbalance | Acupuncture, Massage | Supports healing, balance, and overall wellness |
Comfort is key. And what to wear varies by therapies. Below are a few guidelines to reference. Yoga Classes (Power, Hot, Yin, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Slow Flow) Clothing: Lightweight, breathable, and stretchy clothing such as yoga leggings/shorts and moisture-wicking tops. For Hot Yoga specifically: Choose quick-dry, minimal layers (tank tops, shorts, sports bras) since the room will be heated. Footwear: Yoga is practiced barefoot to allow stability and grip on the mat. Meditation Clothing: Loose, comfortable clothes that allow you to sit or recline with ease. Layers: A light sweater or shawl can help if you get cool while sitting still. Massage Clothing: You’ll typically undress to your comfort level (most people keep underwear on) and are fully draped with sheets/blankets during the session. Tip: Wear loose, easy-to-remove clothing for before and after your session. Acupuncture Clothing: Loose-fitting clothes that can be rolled up to access arms, legs, and sometimes the back or abdomen. Tip: Shorts and a T-shirt or yoga clothes work well.
